WHAT IS TAPPING?

Tapping (EFT or Emotional Freedom Techniques) is a gentle yet  powerful self-help tool that reduces the emotional impact of memories and incidents that trigger stress. Tapping combines coaching techniques with acupressure in the form of light fingertip tapping on acupuncture points. The tapping acts as a circuit breaker on the electromagnetic signal of the stress and diffuses its emotional trigger.

There’s a saying in the Tapping world to “try it on everything.” Tapping addresses the entire range of stressful experience, from small annoying circumstances, to phobias and compulsive behaviors, to the most profound traumas.

WHAT MAKES TAPPING WORK?

Stress and trauma are stored in our limbic system, one of the oldest parts of our brain. Our limbic system developed pre-verbally, which is why years of talk therapy often do not reach the core energetics of our stress.

EFT Tapping sends a tiny electromagnetic pulse that down-regulates the limbic system and lets the brain and nervous system know “it’s okay.” The Tapping releases the stressful negative emotions associated with painful memories and relegates these to a more neutral part of the brain.

EFT has roots in both Oriental Medicine and Modern Psychology. It draws from ‘Cognitive Therapy’, which addresses how we see the world through our thoughts or ‘cognitions’; and ‘Exposure Therapy’, which focuses on the therapeutic benefits of acknowledging unprocessed emotions.

Fall Special 4 Pack ~ Each session begins with determining what you would like to get out of our time together.  We explore what’s important about that and what may be holding you back.  When we land on something loaded, a wall or ingrained pattern, we often use EFT Tapping to clear it, followed by conscious breathing and guided meditation for integration. Normally $340, currently $255.

Chakra Coaching Series ~ 8 sessions and we would start with a session to determine what you would like to accomplish through coaching.  Then session by session we would work our way up through the chakras, using coaching, EFT, breathing and meditation to unpack whatever blocks we uncover.  This is an extraordinarily comprehensive approach to healing!  The cost for now is $495 and will be going up to $650 by the end of the year.
